If anaerobic means the absence of oxygen, no one can run but a few seconds without oxygen. So here are a couple of comments/questions that I need cleared up. Are there really any such thing as running anaerobic intervals since you still need oxygen in order to run. And, if for example the 800 is 40% anaerobic and 60% aerobic how can that be since no one can run an 800 with no oxygen for 40% of the race. These are probably elementary questions to some but I am confused. Please help if you can. Thanks.
