what are the rules regarding clydsedale racing? When does one check their weight to see if they are heavy enough?
I am borderline right now but look like I weigh a lot less so I want to make sure I am the correct weight.
thanks

They check at the end and when everyone is done the announcer calls 'Weighed in, weighed in'.
Oh no, that's horse racing.
Depends on the race, often it's a scale at registration / packet pick-up, like I'm getting ready to set up in about 20 minutes.
The "rules" are typically 195/145 (male/female) but some have different classes, so just read the race brochure because it's normally maid out in there just like age groups are.
thanks for the replies but there is no weigh in the limit is 185 which really should not be a category.
So I guess my question is, is weighing myself with my racing clothes and shoes on the right way to go about this?
Which event are you thinking about entering? What will your goal time be?
I'm a clydesdale hoping to qualify for Boston in November.
Weigh yourself before you enter. If you qualify, enter.
Entering without being the proper weight would be like entering the wrong age group division as a scheme to try to increase your chances to win an award.
