I don't think so, all of the towns he listed are in Texas. Midland and Odessa are basically twin cities in the middle of nowhere west texas. Midland is a common name for a city but its probably unlikely he meant Michigan.

Yeah a bad attempt at some sort of joke, as it is obvious that Midland, TX is a city that sucks, so in order for the poster to seem somewhat sane, I pointed out he obviously must have meant another Midland. (though by the list he didn't)

Odessa is in Ukraine, silly. On the Black Sea. Great town! Outstanding beach scene. And more of a running culture than, best I can tell, just about anywhere else in Russia or Ukraine.
