That may be true...maybe she wants to run the 1500 because it wont be a cakewalk perhaps?

as for "the race will not be slow at the start" comment, hasay has been really good about pacing herself this year from what ive seen.

The original poster was actually complimenting the fact Jordan being in the race will make it a true and honest pace. A lot of times big races with a lot of talent will start tactical and pick up in the end.

I just think everyone is just excited about seeing Jordan fly in the 5K to see what she can run.

I heard Nichole Jones was was coming off being pretty sick when she ran that 4:21 at Stanford...I heard it was bronchitis, pnemonia or something to do with respritory problems. It appears she feels better.

I wouldn't count Tauro out by any means she is very competitive. Tauro shut it down on the anchor leg of the DMR. Tauro runs to win and I'm pretty sure she is ready to go.

Without Kosinski in the race I'm going with Jordan. I just don't see the other girls matching Hasay's strength regardless to how fast they are.

Pixler is a beast she'll match anyones strength in that race. I do think it will pan out to be a very good 1500. Why is everyone thinking the Jones girl will run the 1500. I noticed she is listed in both the 800 and 1500 and she has not declared either one yet. After Jones 800 at Nationals I would think she would go with the 800. Jones actually beat Latavia Thomas(2:03.xx) at Nationals and Jones appears to be running it faster each race. I would go with the 800.

That 800 race is going to be fast. There are a lot of girls entered in the race that had pr's of 2:06 or better at the Nike Meet. It stands to be a good one. Is it just me or are the 800 meter girls much faster this year?

Everyone is different but I would run a race I could win pretty easily. It could be Jordan Hasay has picked the 1500 for speed work. Isn't Jordan Hasay running the 3000 at World Youth? I bet she is working on her speed for the 3000.

I think it's a little of both. She needs to have people around her and she needs the speed work. She has demonstrated a slight weakness in the past of not performing well with others near her. I think this is a very smart move.

I haven't seen the start list for the 5k, but I would imagine there has to be a strong college contingent there...no?

I didn't see any times really fast listed but I know Nicole Blood went 16:16 at nationals. That would have probably been a good match up. It's ridiculously hot there during June and July. I wouldn't want to run a 5K during that time after thinking about.

I think Nichole Jones is really cute. The girl is amazing to talk to also...pretty intelligent. I wonder if she dates white boys.

USA Junior Outdoor Championships. It will take place June 20-24 at the IUPUI stadium in Indianapolis.

Blood ran 16:23 and 16:50 at nationals

I believe she did run a PR of 16:18 or 16:19 at the west regional meet.

Nichole Jones is a sweet young lady but she seems to be pretty focused on school and running right now. From what I know of her I don't think she would care which color a person was. I will say this...I hope she keeps her eyes on how much potential she has with her running and her education...hope she saves the dating drama for way in the future. Dating is overrated half the people I have dated were emotionally psycho. It's hard to focus on something when you have to compete with someones horrible past or hurts....totally exhausting.

Even though Nichole Jones finished her freshman year in college, she just turned 18 in March, so she'll still be able to run in the Junior Nationals next year also!

That's cool...she seems to be getting faster every year. Jones may be one to watch in the future. I wonder if she will run the long stuff next year. Nicole seems she would be an outstanding 5K runner with her speed and stamina.

well, the latest listings show nicole blood declaring in the 3000 (I bet she can run a blistering time after seeing her 3000); Jones has scratched in the 800 and declared in the 1500; caitlin lane has not declared in any event yet; Treece is still listed as open in the 5k; Tauro has not declared yet. By the way...when is the last date an athlete can declare or scratch?

The 3000m looks to be a race between Blood and Bizzari. both were NCAA Qualifiers as Freshman and look to be the two to beat this weekend. Who wins this race in a kick?
