Why is everyone calling him "sir" ? Is he 40 and the rest of you 17 ? Or is he English, and has been officially Knighted? I don't get it.

You are running through my old stomping grounds, my old condo was right across the street from the track on Lumpkin. Like you said, that course is pretty flat until the last quarter, when you get the big drop. If you are in 3:49 (= 4:07ish) shape right now, you can hit the 3/4 in 3:10 and be pretty safe in breaking 50 for the last quarter on the downhill.

Watch out for the drunks coming out of Steverino's at that time, they will be on the road with you.

Get two video cameras taping if you can. Also have a plan for the stoplight(s), I can think of at least one along the way.

Use some disco tunes if you are into that, it will make the video stand out more.

I used to live on South Milledge and run that route to track practice(pace about 6-7mins/mile)depending on how late I was..!!

Now coming back from practice...crossing Steverinos and Sons of Italy ...5 Points..the pace was considerably slower.

Btw I'm sure your 3:49 has bumped my 3:49 outta the Top 10 alltime list...mind you I only ran the race once(800m man..!!)

Under 50 for the last quarter?! Thats 10 seconds faster than his average on the track. No f'in way. I don't care if it is downhill.

So this grand event is set for 1:00 a.m. Saturday? You\'ll have to watch for red lights at Rutherford and Carlton. I\'ll post a few of my boys at those locations to help if necessary.
