i've often been told that considerable gains from weight lifting and middle/long distance running simply dont go together, because they running takes away from the lifting and the protein or something like that.
i'm just getting back into it, and concluded that i can make big improvements if my upper body was the same strength relatively as my legs if that makes sense i.e. my upper body is quite weak.
what's the best way to strengthen my upper body (and say put on a few pounds) while still building mileage?
