thought I might get the take on the crowd out there (albeit, tough though it may be) on a good 'ol analytical subject. Check out the "1200m times en route" section on the T and F News site...then look at the 2.44 put out by El G and add his finish for 300m from his WR. I think the guy can feasibly run 3.24.5-

I think you are right, although he'll have to do it in the next season or two, as I expect him to start fading soon. As well, he may do it and still lose to his successor.
