Seriously,
I was talking to a co-worker today about Gatorade and I mentioned Citrus Cooler.
He had never heard of it.
WTF happened to that damn flavor? It was the best Gatorade flavor of all time.
Now there is all kinds of X-tremo crap flavors and no Citrus Cooler.
There should be only 4 flavors:
-Red
-Orange
-Yellow
-Citrus Cooler
Where are you geographically located? They are still selling in someplaces in the south/southeast.

agreed...single best flavor of all time, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was the flavor michael jordan endorsed for a while.
I still find it every so often at a gas station or warehouse store.

Does Hi-C still make Ecto Cooler? I never actually tried it, but it was some bizarre green color. Not sure what it tasted like, but it looked like pool cleaner.

Periodically, we discontinue certain flavors in order to constantly bring new products to market for our consumers. The following flavors are no longer available: Gatorade Ice Orange, Gatorade Ice Lime, Gatorade Ice Strawberry, Gatorade Xtremo Citrico Vibrante, Gatorade ESPN The Flavor and Gatorade All*Stars Watermelon. Gatorade Citrus Cooler is still available, but only in certain regions of the United States.
Contact them and let them know. I just did!

I agree, I liked Citrus Cooler too...hard to find. Every now and then I find it, and in some places they have a Latin/Hispanic version (Gatorade Extremo?) that has a flavor very similar...Electrico maybe? I live near Wheeling, IL so sometimes I can find it.

Citrus Cooler update I contacted them via thier website about the beloved Citrus Cooler flavor and here is the responds:
"We're happy you contacted us about Gatorade Thirst Quencher-- Citrus
Cooler. Citrus Cooler is still being made, but is only available in
limited distribution in the southern region of the United States.
It's available in the following states:
* Alabama * Arkansas * Florida
* Georgia * Louisiana * Mississippi
* New Mexico * North Carolina * South Carolina
* Tennessee * Texas
Additionally, Citrus Cooler is sold as part of the Xtremo Variety Pack
(8 each of Mango, Tropical, and Citrus Cooler). The variety pack may
be available at warehouse club stores such as-- Sam's, BJ's and Costco."
The real question is what happened to Iced Tea flavor Gatorade, now that was good.

I think Gatorade is not up to date with their distribution patterns. I see Citrus Cooler all the time in Maryland and Virginia.
Never heard of it before, but I will be on the lookout for it. My personal favorites have always been Lemon-Lime ("yellow") and Riptide Rush.

Iced Tea is the only flavor of gatorade that I did not like... i'm not a big tea guy though... Citrus Cooler is excellent and luckily I'm in TN so I see it every now and then

LOL! I don't ever remember tasting citrus cooler but when I saw this thread it made me think of Hi-C's Ecto Cooler. I used to pack those drink boxes every day to take to school...it was so good. And if I remember right, it was endorsed by the Ghostbuster and had some green slimey ghost on the label.
Do they still make a plain grape Gatorade? I remember that being my favorite flavor as a kid.
