I noticed on the Hanson's running page that their "meet the team" page has been updated within the past few days. Missing are Josh Moen, Jeff Gaudette, and Josh Eberly. Any clue as to what happened?

Don't know about them in particular but I do know that there's nothing that dramatic (in general) about runners coming and going at Hanson's. Often, runners figure that they've given it their best shot and it's time to move on with life.
I agree. It appeared that Moen and Gaudette in particular were doing very well. Watched them race a 5k in East Lansing this spring and both were right around 14 flat. Moen was fairly young (23-25) so that one surprises me the most if he decided to move on.
One of the women has left also
Anyone know what their plans are?
that's a little strange since moen and erberly were two of their brightest stars. something is up. and those guys would be in line to develop for a sub28min 10k and $100k a year.
It will be interesting to see who races this weekend at the Saturn distance meet at Hillsdale college. I was hoping to watch Moen race the 5k or 10k. With their new incentives in place, I imagine it won't be too long before we see new faces added to the Hanson's team. Gotta love that bus!
What happened is that the webmaster removed bios of runners who are no longer with the team. Whatever else "happened" is between those runners and the coach(es).

Speculation should be expected. Hansons gets sponsorships because they promote the hell out of their runners, creating public personas. If, as you contend, it's bad form to discuss why runners may have left, then why were they put on the web in the first place?
Whats even more ironic is that the webmaster is one of the now deleted athletes!

Nice non sequitur. Supporting or having an interest in them does not have to come with negative speculation. That part comes from within, a deep, dark, sad place within. I will grant that it is expected, but only due to where this is being posted.
Where's the negativity?
Here's the bottom line. Runners join Hanson's and runners leave Hanson's. Clint Verran is the only guy that has been with Kevin and Keith for the entire time; Brian Sell, of course, has been there a good amount of time; Trent for awhile. Clint has a life outside the Hanson domain. He has a house, a wife, a hot tub. Brian also has a home and a wife, a dog, a shotgun.
These things keep a necessary distance. Rochester Hills is not a bad place. But it's not for everyone. And if you can't keep that distance, AND if you don't adapt to the training the way you expect, you inevitably become disenchanted. Kevin and Keith are not bad guys. But one of the aspects of their personality that is often over-looked is that they are first and foremost BUSINESSmen, trying to keep a successful club in tact. Sometimes business conflicts with athletics, sometimes it supports and enhances it.
I will say the partnership they've created between Saturn and themselves is unprecedented, at least in the more recent years. They've stepped outside the boundries of the big shoe company (albeit they have Brooks) and marketed themselves to a larger cooperation that believes they could benefit from a young successful group of post-collegiate, olympic-striving distance runners who drive around the country marketing their name. I'm sure this has caused some conflict somewhere within the group, but it's unique nonetheless in the United States to see a large corporation reach out to a bunch of pale, skinny, ugly distance runners who eat pizza on Friday nights and wear short shorts parading around town.
People join Hanson's, people leave Hanson's. That's the bottom line.
I dunno but...
Moen sold me some shoes on Wed. this week at the Royal Oak store.
Luke Humphrey is also no longer on the team. He's run at least 2:14. Weird timing too, seems like it would have happened after the trials next year.
The Hanson guys are jerks, they care less about people, so the guys leave, good for them...
Are you guys sure about all this? Humphrey and Moen both ran on the Hansons team at the marathon relay championships in Denver.
probably because they were still in contract

Here's some more, for those who can't spot such things on their own.
