Four ways this Darfur thing could play out on an international scale
1) US Does Something - Well since we tried the same thing in Iraq, it'll be a long time before Congress signed off on another one of these missions.
2) UN Does Something - In order for the UN to intervene the Security Council must agree, which means none of the Permanent 5 will veto. Unfortunately, China gets roughly 6% of its oil from the Sudan and buys 2/3 of Sudan's oil. There's no chance anything is going to change since China (like the US) needs its oil to keep its economy moving.

3) The situation takes care of itself. Millions will be killed in the process.
4) All the SAVE DARFUR activists decide to stop pressing the US Government and get International Rights Organizations to label the crisis a genocide and this finally gets the rest of the world to wake up and do something.
