Now HERE's a thread that will get as many replies as the Henry Rono thread.
Prepare for a flaming!! (no pun intended)
Lo-lo-lo-lo-lola!!
Before the so-called "flaming" begins, I would say go for it. I don't think there would be much difference between male and female shoes other than maybe color.
In asnwer to your question, no.
Women's shoes tend to be narrower and lighter than men's shoes.
If you have narrow feet, then women's shoes should fit you fine. Some manufacturers are making women's specific lasts (narrower heel & wider forefoot), but the main difference between men's and women's running shoes are that men's shoes have a standard width of "D" and women's shoes have a standard width of "B". Widths go E-D-C-B-AA, or something like that, from wider to narrower.
I find that the women's waffle racers (Jana) are slightly narrower than the men's waffle racers, and that works for my skinny feet. Color was a problem, but I'm not entering a fashion show. As for the flaming, anyone who posts something like, "I bet you run like a girl" would be innaccurate, since I barely run at all anymore.

Why stop at waffle racers? I find that wearing women's panties make me feel prettier when I run...and don't get me started on the job bras...
Fag
Someone had to say it.
Jason Rexing always ran in women's shoes. It's not that he went out and purchased them, it's just that he always "borrowed" running shoes from whomever he slept with the night before. This explains the huge variety of footwear worn by the Rex-man. We're talking hundreds of different models every year! What a guy.
