How much do you think running a 3200m race in CONSTANT 25-30 MPH winds slowed me down?
I ran by myself out in front the whole race with no one to draft off of?
Any opinions would be great.

Damn, that must have sucked. I'd say at least a second per lap.
Much beloved poster ttc would have been unaffected, but for us mere mortals Spring winds bite.
more then a second per lap
mabye 3 or more if it messed up you're sense of pace or cadance
or if you're a small guy
or if you're prone to giving up
The winds stopped you from setting an American National Record.
What the f*** do you want to hear starting a thread like this?! Gahhh
i would say anywhere from 2-4seconds. When I was in college I ran a 5k in such winds and i was way off my personal best. At the time I had ran 14:39 and I ended up running 15:13 in a stacked field in 70degrees late in the evening. The effort felt like it was 14:30 at least. In high school same story. I ran 9:55 and I felt I had ran 9:35. The following week in good conditions I ran 9:37 so I would consider it takes off at least 6-8 seconds for a 1600, 20 seconds for a 3200 and around 30-40 seconds for a 5k.

What the hell is your problem? I mean its not calculus you idiot he wants to know how much the wind would slow you down, so he could have a better idea of what to shoot for in good conditions. Are you seriously that stupid?

It could be calculus if you want.
However much slower than you were than your PR is how much it slowed you down. Just assume you were in PR shape on the windy day.

???? That was dumb.
I can't compare my PR. I have never ran a 3200m.
