How many times did Scott run under 3:50 in the mile? Does Webb have a shot at being as good as Scott (or better)?

Steve Scott ran over 100 sub 4 miles and still has the mile record as well as many solid championship performances. Webb has a shot but they are pretty tough. Webb may have more range given he does the XC, 5k, 10k. Scott was pure miler/1500.
off the top of my headIn '82: he had a 3:48 (oslo), a 3:47 (oslo) and a 3:49In '83: he had a 3:48 and a 3:49In '86: he had a 3:48 or 3:49I think I might be missing two others (maybe in '85 or '86) - pretty sure his total was in the 6-8 range.

THere were actually two questions; the second being: Does Webb have a shot at being as good as Scott (or better)?
That was the one I was addressing. Other than the obvious national record it would be a fairly subjective evaluation.
wow, the record is almost 25 years old now.
Unless they can get Rome or Brussels to switch their 1500m to a mile (which I don't see happening unless Ramzi says he's going for the WR), I don't see an AR this year. Pre is still early in the season, and Oslo is the week before USATFs.
He's running really, really well right now. But I'd suprised (impressed) if it goes this season.
