They just won their 4th ACC title in 5 years and won 2 Penn titles this weekend and nothing on the front page?
Heck, they would have easliy won a third title today (and third ever) had their 4x1 anchor not hobbled home for most of his leg and just been beat to the line.
How come there's no mention of any of this on the front page?

none of these guys are Americans. The first five were amazing runners before they came to FSU. Lancashire was the British junior champion or some shit like that, Lemoncello, Buckingham and Gunn had all run sub 840 before they came across the pond. So when they win a conference title on the track, I'm not really that impressed. It's actually kind of pathetic that they still haven't been able to win an ACC title in cross country, losing to NC State last year and Virginia the year before.

And actually, them dominating at Penn Relays this weekend had very little to do with "buying runners from Europe" as there sprinters were on showcase. The sprinters score more points for FSU on the national stage aswell.

It's the coaches job to field the best team he can to have a legitimate shot at winning nationals. Can you fault Braman for doing a damn good job of recruiting? Didnt think so.

Ok, take out Sean Burris then. You still imported a junior national champion, three sub 840 steeplers, and a 147 half miler. I have no problem with the FSU sprinters (or the distance runners, for that matter). I'm simply telling you why I'm not terribly impressed by your team accomplishments, especially on the distance side - the vast majority of your point-scoring distance runners were superstars before they even got to America. I have a lot more respect for a team that builds itself into a powerhouse by cultivating local talent through good coaching and a lot of hard work.
Checked the roster, Lemoncello had only run 8:44 before coming stateside.
And yes, they're sprinters ridiculous. Isn't this thread about the track team as a whole and not the distance runners?

Florida State is no worse than everyone's favorite American team: the University of Arkansas. The last great American that Arkansas produced was Dan Lincoln. Otherwise, you're talking tons of foreigners.. Open market, buddy.

Bra man, would you bash a team for getting a US juniors champion? Is that somehow cheating? They didn't "buy" distance runners, they just gave them the same free ride any other school would have. While every other school is trying to get one top-10 FL guy, Lancashire was probably sold pretty easily on sunny Florida. You don't know how many times this year I wished I had gone to school down there, that has to be the optimum training weather year round.
It kinda beats Bolton. Especially now Big Sam has left.

I Think Bra Man was just making a statement. If you do have a team full of foreigners who are already fast...it isnt like they developed through the season to make it big. A Few years ago, before these guys, FSU didnt win anything...so he is just making point...but they are fast, ive raced against all of them before..
