How many runners follow a 3 weeks on (high milage) and one week off (low milage) routine? Mainly master's runners. I am coming off a knee injury and surgery and have run consistant for the last 3 weeks averaging about 45 miles. I want to get up to about 60 miles on average but, want to maybe use one week for low milage. I plan on racing mostly 10k races this Summer and maybe some cross country races in the Fall. What are some of your experiences with that? Thanks
