Does anyone have a copy or link to the course map that includes the elevation profile? They have now posted a new map that has all the sponsor logos covering up where the elevation info was.

if it's the same OTC Marathon course that I ran in the early 80s, then don't worry about any elevation maps. it was pretty flat.
I know it's really flat--with a TON of turns and possible "traffic jams"...i just wanted to check where "hills" are...
anyone?
nope...no problems, traffic jams or anything, if it's the same course as it was in the 80s. Quit worrying and just concentrate on running 100mpw and getting in your 20 miler on the weekends and your interval mile workout in during the week and showing up ready to have a good race. You're thinking too much.
The course map they had up previously looked like most of the elevation change was in the first 5-6 miles, and I believe the course description referred to 2 hills of ~80 feet elevation change in the first couple miles.
However there's a bridge around mile 20 that I think might present a bit of a hill, not sure.
by traffic jams, I meant foot traffic. there's some out and back and also half marathoners.
There is about 40' of rise in the first .8 mile, then a quick downhill as you turn from Fairmount onto 19th st., losing maybe 1/2 of that in one or two blocks. Pretty flat with a few gradual rises from that point until a slightly larger rise over Amazon Creek as you turn onto Amazon Parkway.
Flat or slightly downhill from there until you are back on 19th St. headed East towards University. Just one block after you pass by South Eugene high school you'll encounter the only significant hill on the route, a gain of about 60' in four or five blocks. You crest just before turning left onto University street and then you lose that elevation over the next 1/2 mile or so.
After that point you never gain or lose much more than 10' to 15'. The Owosso foot bridge around mile 18 has a short steep 270 degree on ramp. There is a dip at the EWEB plaza as you cross under Coburg Rd., and you cross the relatively gentle Autzen foot bridge around mile 6 and then again around 39K (I think).
These foot bridges are nothing like a highway overpass or an auto bridge over a major river.
Good luck!
