Has anyone seen the 3.0s yet or had a chance to run in them?
Has anyone seen the 3.0s yet or had a chance to run in them?
when are they supposed to come out?
Yes, the Free v3 (tm) is really a breakthrough in minimalism. We call it Nike(tm) Minimalism-XXXtreme (r)(tm): you pay us $65 and in return you get a phial of benzoin tincture and the licensing rights to have no more than one (1) Swoosh (tm) tattooed on the outside of each foot.
Nike Sucks!
This is like the Emperor's New Clothes!
If you want minimalism run barefoot, puhhhcceee
nike frees = cause injury
430miler = idiot
i've seen em, hardly anything to them at all. very minimalist. i still like the 4.0 and 5.0 better, but i wouldn't run much in either.

good idea.
these "free" things are another marketing trick by nike by telling kids that they need to be "free". the majority of their profit comes from all of the kids buying frees from their local Finish Line. running specialty stores DO NOT carry these shoes, because they are not good for running.
the physiological theory that nike states that the "free" has range from "it'll correct your overpronation" all the way to "correct your underpronation" and even have stretched it out now to "decrease injury and build lower leg strength" all of these theories are FALSE.
these puppies have little-zero cushioning in them, and they have ZERO support, it is a bad shoe for anyone to wear, reguardless of your biomechanics.
this shoe does nothing but cause injury.
since some people can run 60-100+ mpw in them, you're not so smart mr. 4:30
if you have perfect biomechanics, it would ok to do SOME mileage in them. but why wouldnt you rather wear a neutral shoe with GOOD cushioning?? like perhaps the asics gel nimbus or the adidas supernova cushion??
the "frees" are in the same category as "shox" for people who fall for the advertising slogans and think that the springs in the bottom of the shoe are going to make them faster. these puppies are selling for around a 100's a pair, and are turning nike into a financial MONSTER.
"free", "shox" "ipod+" "max360"
what is the next marketing trick in store for us??
im ready for them to turn into a real shoe company and start making shoes that are podiatrically good for runner. stop filling every shoe with brs1000 rubber and changing the name to something out of a harry potter book; and start putting good cushioning elements into the shoes like asics has.
then again, nike never has been a running shoe company and never will be. they will always be doted to 1 thing.
profit.
sorry i meant to say "devoted"
"nike never has been a running shoe company"
Do you even think before you post??
again, what is the release date?
And, does anybody have any pictures?
Dear 430Miler,
What exactly do you know about running? Most people on this board do your weekly mileage in a couple days. Come talk to me when you start pushing 100mpw(which i have done for consecutive weeks in Nike Free(s))maybe then you'd be more qualified to offer your opinion on the subject, but until then, shut the hell up. You sound like a little punk bitch.
Worm
I think the release date is sometime in May.
Here they are. It's not shown here, but the other side is all mesh, not the fake suede crap. Looks like they got rid of the spandex heel, which is the only thing that's ever worn out on mine.

Dude you are so weak, the only puppy here is you.
When you run barefoot you have no support but I guess thatis a bad thing hey ? As for the cushioning. well after a brooks beast you may not think so but as I`m sure someone already told you on another thread; more cushioning= more energy absorption. dumb ass!

This wisdom from the same person that put extra cushioning in his spikes so he could still wear Nike "Milers"...
Stupidity truly knows no boundaries.
Anyone get a pair yet?

Each person's mechanics ARE perfect for them while barefoot. It's shoes that make a person's mechanics imperfect.
