After Fam's 11 second PR in the 5K last night and his US championship at 8K, I think it is safe to say that his year is rounding into place very well. Last year he ran 3:35 for the 1500 and 27:37 for the 10K. I think he definitely has the potential to run under 13:00 for the 5K this year if he chooses to run a few of them and gets into a good one in Europe. His range and consistency are about as good as it gets and he always seems to run smart races these days instead of blasting off from the gun as he did a few years ago on a regular basis. I personally think his best distance is the 5K if only he would decide that is where he wants to focus his attention. However, he is a badass and has proven he can run just about anything. Way to go Fam and kill it this year.
