comfortably under 9 20
Do you know what the weather conditions will be @ the time of the race? Can you give us any insight into who will be running the race and whether or not they are front runners or sit and kick type of racers? Will you get a 7.5-8 hours of sleep the night before the race and what will your heart rate be on your last run before the race and how far do you plan on going? Are you in a fairly stable relationship with your parents and/or a significant other?
This will all help me predict a very accurate final time for your upcoming 3200m.
Yes well i am in a stable relationship with my parents and i usually get eight hours of sleeps. ive done 20:00 on a road 4-mile course, some hills on miles 2-3, and im just focusing on getting back into this great shape in track. currently however i have done 4x16s at 5 min. i just wanted to see what everyone thought what that workout woud equate to a 2 mile time, i was thinking around 920 probably. But as long as i get back into that shape, i think i can probably run a 920 or something (Lord Willing) at the state meet this year, i dont know if 920 is too fast or reasonable or even a little held back of a time, thats just my goal.
thanks for your time, if i get any requests back.
very easily under 9:20
going sub 20 for 4 miles on the road means that you are quite fit. sub 9:20 on a track is no prob. good luck.
i did this workout in high school spring of senior year maybe with 330 to 4 minutes rest but i did it at 445 pace. Next fall we did a 3200 time trial and I ran 9:21 not that easily might I add.
9:20
