Hi,
I am wondering what elites will be running Chicago. I know KK, Tergat, AC, Aish. Then on the womens side paula, Catherinand , Jen Rhines.
These were all on Chicagos website, but there has to be others.
Thanks,
Thomas

I heard that Webb is running.
Dude, cut the shit. I am NOT running Chicago. And, by the way I will kick your injured ass in any race (including the marathon)now that I am a PRO!!! That's right, P R O, mother-f'r. You are a sucker for letting Colorado take advantage of you. They should not only give you a freed education, they should PAY your ass. But, hey, I guess you are not god enough to get a PRO contract (HA HA HA). Maybe you should have broken a hallowed HS track mark like me!! Just missed the 5K, eh? Was 8:36 too tough for you in the deuce? I coulda smoked that if I had wanted to, but figured I?d leave a record for you?..but you never he took a good shot at it. Loser.

Both of you can shut up. Looks like I'll finally win out of the three of us this season.
So Ryan, what have you accomplished in your 1st year in college?
Well, I didn't get injured (that goes to both of you). Then my former coach didn't get in trouble for distributing supplements. Then I didn't lose the NCAA 1500 final, blame it on the college system and go pro. Webb, I'll take you on in the marathon. How about at 7000 feet?
Not bad, not bad. Especially the Webb one; that was pretty damn funny.
Since when was Aish considered an elite in the Chicago Marathon?
Here is a list from www.rrca.org. I am not sure when it was last updated.
This list is as of 8/13
Man Michael Aish is on that list. Unbelievable. Sure seems to be a broad acceptance of what is elite if he made that list for his debut. I wouldn't guess much better than about 2:19 at best. Not sure he will beat the top woman.
Hey, where is my name on that list?
Look out for Mark steinle to runa good one, I think he could go 2.08, who is Tobias Hiskia, a south african witha 2.07 PB!
Sweet CV is doing Chicago... I bet he does great and surprises people again.
The English Invasion is coming too. Chris Birchall is making his post 18 year old marathon debut. Hes coming a great stint of getting 3rd in the Chicago Half Marathon with getting to the starting line late!!!
Aish is surely elite. if you knew anything you'd know that he ran 1:03.5 at RnR Half in Va. just a few weeks ago. I think in any body's book that is elite. not to mention that he has run 13:22 and 28:00. i'd figure him for 2:11-2:12. we shall see...

Dude, you've your head in your arse if you're calling out Aish. There's a large spectrum of elite western runners outside of Goucho, Culpepper, Gabe, The Hausers, WebbRitz, and Bakken. Surely there are other competitive runners on the radar beyond American collegiate D1.
Aish claimed several DII championships on the track and at cross, has posted world listed times at Mt. Sac in the 5 and 10k's, and ran with the leaders at rock and roll a couple weeks back. Give some leeway on the ability of lesser known athletes until you've seen them run in deeper fields.
Ian Syster from South Africa ran for 4th or 5th at London in 2:07,and he will be at Chicago. He told me he's going for the win. I wish him the best.
Knower
You must not know any thing if you think Aish will run 2:19.
Knower educate yourself, tergat only ran 2 minutes faster than aish at rock and roll. I would say that if you could stay with in two minutes of a two time olympic silver medalist over 13 miles you might be ELITE!! 13:22 isnt bad either, would you have considered Pre elite with his 13:21?????? Give him some respect.
