I ain't saying it's wrong or right, but man, Alberto & Rudy look awfully close in this old pic I found.

I think they're just tired and using each other for support...literally. A better question might be... Why is Rudy wearing his singlet inside out?
They have the look of 2 guys who have layed it all out. They are supporting each other from falling over, which is a direct result of running extremely fast. Can tell youre not real familiar with this look.
why are the letters on oregon jersey reversed (as in a negative flipped over the wrong way). on Chapa's jersey.
and Salazar was not in the 1980 Olympics.
I see that you may be hiding some homoerotic tendencies if you think two guys embracing after a run means they are "close".
Correct, Platt. Salazar was not in the 1980 Olympcis. But he did make the U.S. Olympic team in 1980. Can anyone remember if this meet was televised and if the athletes had any hope during that meet that there would not be a boycott. I would love to see McChesney's move the last 1200 in the 5000 in front of the home crowd.
the athletes knew months in advance that they would not be making the trip to Moscow.
whats up with the jersey?
Check it out.
My guess: Chapa had maybe already run and when he saw Salazar was going to do well, he wanted to be out on the track when he finished, so he quickly slipped his singlet back on, only it ended up inside out.
JUST a guess.
