When you run a 3,000 m steeple how many barriers must you jump? 35? 28 flat and 7 water pits? I know from experience that when the pit is on the inside you get a clean ~200 meters of running. But when the pit is on the outside do you still need to jump 35 barriers (28/7) allowing you far less time to run clear in the beginning, seeing that the start line (with barrier on the outside) is usually within 80-100 meters of the finish line rather than on the other side of the track (when the pit is inside the track). Just wondering if anyone knows any answers>.Thanks
