I thought he was farming or something in Guatemala.
I thought he was training to be an all-american eater. Specifically with his sights set on the Nathan Hot Dog Challenge.
Guess that is just another dream he has given up on.

Correct.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?board=1&id=1807036&thread=1807036the truth is exposed. bruce hyde's identity as an all-american cross country runner was all a cover to escape his past and the fact that he is actually a 65 year old former actor and star trek: tos extra.
Did he ever graduate?
not yet!
Wasn't he like a 345 guy? What does he know about training at the top level? It's probably some inside joke that I'm not getting. What makes this the quote of the day?
He was noodling 75 pound catfish in Arkansas.
Yes it's true. I just got back from seeing Bruce, he's trapping muskrat up in Saskatchewan. It's tough work but you have a lot of free time once you set the traps, so that's when he trains. 3 or 4 hour runs (snow shows this time of year) across rugged terrain. Pretty amazing.
He has been recovering from a serious blow to the head sustained in a hippie keg stealing incident.
Whatever happened to Bruce's running? He was back in 2004 or 2005 really gettting close to entering the elite realm. Didn't his times come close to 8 flat & 4 low for the mile?

I heard he was spotted running in the Himalayas, learning the art of running from some Tibetan Monks.

You are close. He has actually been repelling down Mount Vesuvious while smoking peyote with some sherpas; snipe-hunting in his free time.
I hear he only shits twice a week. Never once nor three times. Only on the Sabbath. Then he continues training.
He's been looking for blue king crab on the Aleutian Islands, just off the Alaskan coast.
I hear bruce works in a restaurant in VT making burgers for customers on the side.
