pop-ups? i didn't know they still had those.

I am on Firefox and I am getting them too.

Ads all over every inch of the site are okay, but PopUps?

Please wejo, this is too much.

I've never had a pop up on letsrun.

They started this afternoon.

Never any pop ups and I've got el cheapo de dialupo running interference-- I honestly can not remember when the last popup got thru.- on this site or any other for that matter.

Give us a break, no pop-ups.

Those are for spamblogs and other crap sites.

Are you sure you don't have any spyware?

I'll turn off my pop up blocker to make sure they are not being sent. But if you are sure you are getting a popup can you send me any more into on it? My email is above.

Send me the URL of the popup and perhaps what the ad at the top of the message board is when you see the popup popup. I assume the popup would have to be generated by one of the ads if it really was coming from our site and not from spyware.

Can anyone else confirm that a non infected computer is getting popups?

We experimented with a new adnetwork but its not supposed to serve popups.

I have been coming to this board for years and have never gotten a pop up add. I think those complaining need to clear their computer of spyware.....and stay away from the porn sites that gives them the spyware.

yeah... you have some sort of spyware on your computer. i'm not getting a single pop up and don't have a pop up blocker turned on. gl.

I got a few yesterday, and I can assure you my pc is clean. I think that it was a result of scrolling over an ad, but i could not duplicate it.

It is certainly happening though.

I doubt everyone would be starting these threads for no reason.

I am not on my normal computer and am at one that does not have a pop up blocker, so far no pop ups.

At my regular computer I have not gotten any pop ups here. I seldom get any though as I use Firefox and the pop up blocker with it is pretty good.

My guess would be that the person/s complaining my have some spyware.

You should run a few spyware programs on your computer. From a post by sam w:

adaware is free, but you can buy the addon that constantly scans your computer for ad/spyware.

If you run Firefox and are getting pop up's, your computer is infected.

that's a pretty dumb thing to say when many of us have still never had a pop-up appear when visiting letsrun. not a single one...

use a proxy that deletes pop ups and other scripts.
