Hardee not in NCAA Heptathalon?

Why isnt he in the Heptathalon at NCAA's. The UT website says he is going to a last chance meet at Ark to get a long jump qualifier? Are they woried about injuries? Are they scared he will No Height in pole vault? Whats the deal, thats 8 pts texas is missing right there
