Hicham El Guerrouj has lost only 7 races between 1996 and 2004, two of these losses at 5000m and four at 1,500m/Mile. Amazingly two of El Guerrouj's 1500m losses were in the Olympics. Given the fact that El Guerrouj was not really defeated in the Atlanta Olympics as he collided with Morceli at the bell, we can easily
conclude that he is the greatest 1,500m runner in history.
