the Adistar cush vs SN cush the latter of which I have worn for nearly 6 years, been very happy in but is undergoing design changes. other than 20 bucks what is the diff b/w these two models.

If you've liked the Supernova Cushion, buy the new Response Cushion. It has the same midsole as last year's Supernova, plus it's about ten bucks cheaper.
I've worn all three over the years. The Adistar is great if you're a bigger guy, but for more competitive (lighter, fleet of foot) runners it's a bit too stiff and bulky. The Supernova has been a consistent winner, but lately Adidas is trying to cram in too much technology...it's becoming the Adistar Lite. The Response has always been a solid entry level trainer, but with this year's model (Response Cushion 16 I believe) they have produced a truly great shoe. And like I said before, you'll save some bucks!
cool that, sound advice and will try it.
I'm wearing the new Supernova Cushioning and find it to be a great shoe. Lightweight and responsive. Already have a second pair in the closet ready to use when my current pair wears out.
good call on the Response cushion. one more difference though is that they removed the cushy strobel board stuff that they had on the last supernova, but other than that, it is in fact the same tooling. pull out the insole on both shoes and you'll see what i'm talking about. all in all, though, i actually prefer the new response cushion to the last supernova cush. little lighter and narrower, which works well for me.
