I just got done with base phase, i didn't pick up running till i was in early 20s... i started with 5k and 10k's so never did any real speed stuff except for the appropriate reps for my fitness (now 400s in 74 and 200s in 37)
just got done with base 2 weeks ago (hit 75mpw) and started rep work and heavier threshold work
i feel good, for some reason i want to see what I can run a 400 in... don't want to mess up my training, this weekend i have two easy days... on sunday after a 10 minute warm up then some strides would it be stupid to do my first all out 400?
am i likely to injure myself? is just one all out ok - could it even help my training
i would be aiming for 60 maybe??
