No they don't use air pressure like Nikes. The cushioning still should be good, but I'm not looking at the shoe either. Take it to a running speciality store they should be able to tell you if it's fine, and also give you the customer service number.

yes cushioning should still be fine, like the others said. Saucony (and most other shoe companies) have an exchange program which says, in a nutshell "take it back to where you bought it and they'll swap it out with a new pair if you have any problems with the shoe"

kudos for keeping the shoe. when used shoes get returned for lame reasons, they become landfill. most eco-yuppies don't seem to realize that as they roll off in thier prius.

Thanks for the info. I can deal with the noise if the cushioning is still fine, besides this these are about the best shoes I've ever owned.

Better the pop came from your Saucony's than your knee or IT band. It's time to thank Saucony!

I like the trigons a lot, I had 6-7 pair of the first version, 3-4 pair of 3rd, and 2 pair of the 4th. However, when mine have popped, I could tell the difference and had heel/achilles problems. One time it was with a pair of 3's with many miles, so I retired them, but when my 4's popped after 200 miles I sent them back. It is a grat shoe though, I hope they stay with the 4 version for the most part, and hope they never go back to the 2, I had them one time and they blew.
