Last Monday I broke the second smallest toe on my left foot by running into one of the wooden legs of my couch. My doctor said there really the only treatments are anti-inflammatories, ice, and buddy-taping. Although the toe was still swollen, the bruising is all but gone, so I went for an easy 4-miler this morning. The pain was bad, but bearable. If I can tolerate the pain, is it okay to run, or should I wait until I am pain free? Has anyone run through the pain with no problems?
