No one was paralytic or smashed lying on the floor puking their guts out. But there was a lot of good dancing going on, and many great looking ladies. It appeared to be very "clicky" in nature, meaning that all the fastest runners hung out around each other and it went in pecking order like that. You won't find Bizuneh talking to a 15:20 and hanging out with, just like you won't find a 4:30 miler guy trying to hang out with the 13:30 guys because it simply does not happen. It appears to be looked down upon. But if the 4:30 miler gets to the 355 stage, then he just earned himself a bunch of elitist friends. Anyways, the party was good. Maybe Wejo has some pictures from it. Maybe he has some stories himself.

What a bunch of egotistical little shit stains. It's not like they're saving lives or anything now is it? They run fast which is impressive but certainly not heroic.

Why is it that it is so important for "average Joe" to hang out with the pro's? Every elite runner at the party was very approachable. They were all available for pictures and autographs. If you just wanted to act like you were their best friend, then you are an idiot. YOU are not their best friend.

I did not think it was elitist at all. In fact I would say the very opposit. I saw guys getting their numbers signed and everyone was very open. There were lots of non-running friends hanging out with old buddies. I saw Fazil talking to everybody, likewise I saw Goucher talking to everybody. Steve Jones looked super happy talking with the guys from NYRR and Boston. It was like a big house party and I thought Letsrun and Reebok did a great Job. Brad Hudson, Terrance Mahon and Keith Kelly discussing music all night with people agreeing or disagreeing about their tastes. After about 1AM it got going with shots, Irish car bombs and many chugging efforts, some more successful than others. No real scandle from what I saw, just a very good time. Bring it back to Boulder!

I disagree. The elite runners generally are friends with each other so of course at a party they're going to hang out with each other. If you're the 430 miler perhaps you may think they are trying to snub you but I don't think its the case. If you go to a party, generall you're going to hand out with and talk to most people you know.

They're just hanging with their friends. Just like I saw them partying with their friends from college as well.
