I love, follow, and cheer for ALL of our clean US athletes and would like to see all of them do well. After a discussion that started on another thread and some comments about not being able to follow certain athletes careers. That being the chief reason for not fully recieving their performances as American Records raised many questions. What is your take on the subject -and- how can you not support Bernard and Mebrahtom when they are products of U.S education and training for OVER A DECADE? Thats just about as long as you could have followed any US born runner, unless you went to/kept up with their elementary meets!

franey
Mebrahtom Keflezighi ran High School and College in the US
Bernard Lagat ran college and developed into one of the best 1500m ever while LIVING IN the US
Khalid Khannouchi came over young, didn't develop into one of the best marathoners ever til he got to the US
So they have been here for over a DECADE and you couldn't follow their careers for what reason? Mostly likely subtle racisim.
You may not want to admit it but if Craig Mottram became a U.S citizen there would be fireworks and late night parties for weeks by ALOT of posters here, hmmmmm I wonder why?
