For the past week, I have woken up and blown out a significant amount of dried blood from my nose. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I am thinking it has to do with the dry and humid air but am not certain. Any thoughts?

the answer is obvious. You've been punched in the face while asleep.
go to the doctor. its not normal. where exactly do you live, and what has the weather been like? how is the temp in your room?
You've been snoring alot lately and its keeping me awake so I hit you in the face with a pillow and it makes you stop. Now shut-up and go back to sleep!
yes this did used to happen to me. it can be especially exacerbated if you are running on a dry indoor track. You can get something called Ocean Nasal Spray (which is simply salt water) that you spray into your nose that will help it to heal and really helped stop the constant nose bleeds for me. But you are definitely correct that it is tied to the dry winter air.
I've gotten that too. I think it is just a combination of winter air and using a heater. A lot of times I'll just be around in the day and just barely rub my nose and cause a nose bleed. It happens more when the air is polluted and dry. Maybe you live in a big city with bad air and it's very cold this winter?

LOL at the oxymoron...
You might have cirrhosis of the liver. Nose bleeds are a symptom of this.
remember, if your nose starts bleeding you're picking it too much... or not enough!
Get 1-3 humidifiers in your house. Or a cool-air mist unit for your bedroom.
It means you are dieing. It happened to two of my friends, both dead now. Sorry to hear that. Good luck.
I have the same thing and it usually happens a lot in the winter or when I travel out West...basically when it's overly dry. I was running a race in NorCal and it started bleeding mid-race! Fortunately, I have become quite adept at inhaling in through my nose and out through my mouth when this happens and it usually helps clot it quickly while keeping blood from dripping out.
Before going to bed, put a small amount of vaseline along the inner lining of each nostril. This will heal the broken capillaries in there, and moisten the air as it comes in.
Pretty easy solution, considering you already have some by the bed anyway.

nasal tumor. you may need to go on chemo.
Yes, this happens to me all of the time. However, I have roughly ten grams of cocaine in my system pretty much all of the time. I'm faily certain there's a giant, gaping hole between my nasal cavity and my brain. Did this help?
