He is actually Kenyan but was racing in Japan....
A Kenyan running sub 60 might make for a different story...

Ever heard of Samuel Wanjiru?
And if you apply ttc's Ryan Hall logic to all this, Mogusu is going to win a marathon medal in Beijing 2008.
Is 20 still a junior?
Don't trust times from races in Japan.
I consider it akin to trusting the times run by guys in the military.
"Sergeant Tim ran 3:46 for the Mile on a dirt track last week. And he was wearing combat boots."

Why not? Any examples you can offer?
This is why you don't look at an equivalency chart. Mogusu has a 5K PR of 13:27. Yet he just supposedly ran the equivalent of about a 27:00 10K. Hall has a 5K PR of 13:16 and had just come off a season of 13:28-13:40 5K's. Yet a few months later ran the supposed equivalent of sub-27:00. The below list is missing some recent performances, but Hall is not the equivalent of anyone on this list.
10,000
26:17.53 Kenenisa Bekele (Eth) 2005
26:49.90 Assefa Mezgebu (Eth) 2002
26:49.38 Sammy Kipketer (Ken) 2002
26:38.78 Abdullah Hassan (Qat) 2004
26:38.08 Salah Hissou (Mor) 1996
26:36.26 Paul Koech (Ken) 1997
26:30.03 Nicholas Kemboi (Ken) 2003
26:27.85 Paul Tergat (Ken) 1997
26:22.75 Haile Gebrselassie (Eth) 1998
26:50.20 Richard Limo (Ken) 2002
It's only one pic, but he looks older than 20.That's neither here nor there. However, the bit on the front page about if he were white we'd have heard of him; since he's getting a full page on the IAAF website, I'd say he's getting at least as good, if not better, treatment than Ryan Hall. But, seeing as how so many people want to flog themselves in front of their PC God... all the better to appear righteous and open minded, right? Yeesh.
And that is why Americans get excited when one guy just runs sub 60, Hall for instance. Don’t you know that Rift valley is a tiny province in Kenya (can’t even compare with any state here) with this tribe who are world beaters in running? Pop of less than .0 something % in the world.

You become a senior when you´re 23. My former girlfriend ran the European Junior Champ when she was 22.
