I am currently trying to develop a training plan for myself for the 800-5000m,with a primary emphasis on the 1500/mile. I know that everyone responds differently to types of training, but I am having a very hard time deciding on how much volume to run. I have been hurt while running both lower mileages and higher mileages because I had a tendency to always overtrain. I've been as low as 50 mpw and as high as 87 mpw. I know that even Tinman has said developing programs for milers can be difficult because of the different athletes who can be successful in this event, but still I am looking for input on volume per week for someone like myself.
