what's the most effective way of pacing a 1500m race?
A little about me, i'm endurance based but my speed is decent. pbs are 2:03, 4:12, 9:16 (3k)
Thanks

If those are all equal efforts on your part, your 3000 is your weakest o the three.
Regardless, even splits is best, but you often must adjust to the circumstances of competition. It helps to focus on a split for 1000m, then just hold on from there. This keeps your third lap honest.
3 evenly paced laps and kick how with whatever you got left.
I don't think his 3k is that weak. My senior high school year I went 2:06, 4:13, 9:22.
His 3k is easily the weakest. Anecdotally, I ran 9:05 and 4:20 my senior year of HS.
According to the McMillan running calculator, 9:12 = 4:18.
EVERYONE runs easy through the first three laps of the race and then kicks. EVERYONE! Does that give you a clue? What if you sprinted on the third lap? Train to do a long long sprint so you will be able to gut it out. Or a "broken sprint" as in sprint for 300m, go back into race pace for 200m, and then sprint again for 300m. Make a new statement!
lunatic..
