Inspired by the energy drink thread, I did an experiment on myself. I weigh 155 pounds. I took 2 no-doz pills (200MG) and 5 level teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate. It was mixed with 1 liter of water. I did this 2 hours before my workout. I ran in the same pair of shoes, on the same track, same time of day. Weather conditions were similar. I did the exact same warm up and both workouts were done by myself. The workouts were part of my regular training.
Date November 30 (NO CAFFINE OR SODIUM BICARBONATE)
1200M run at "I" pace with 4 min jog between each.

December 17 workout I felt like a different runner. My gut was a little quesy but I had to hold myself back. I felt so good I did an extra rep.
