I've been forced to give water running a try due to an injury and just had a few questions about how it's done. I purchased an aquajogging belt and went into the deep end of a pool to try running. Problem is, even with the belt, I'm having a really tough time not sinking. My head is barely above water. I can't do any running type motion with my arms as I'm simply treading water with them to stay afloat. I also feel like I'm leaning forward a lot. As for my legs, I can do various running type motions although I'm not sure which is the correct form for water running. Should I be bringing my knees up high in almost a cycling motion or keep my feet low and mve them faster? Also, I was under the impression that people stay in place while pool running. How? The two times I've tried it, I moved as soon as I start moving my feet and end up doing laps in the pool. I don't understand why I'm finding this so difficult. I'm a 5'6 female, around 115. Do I not have the proper belt for my body? Thanks for any advice!
