Has anyone raced in these things yet? They seemed like they could have fit well but I'm skeptical about buying a racing spike that doesn't actually have spikes...

i ran cross in them this year and liked them a lot. i was worried about slipping in mud and on hills but they worked both on great, only place i wish i had real spikes was towards the top of cemetery hill i started to slip. i say give em a shot.
I love them, with reservations. The plate isn't too great on long wet grass where you really should have spikes, and it's so thin and narrow you instinctively avoid sharp, chunky gravel. Everywhere else--trails, dirt, pavement, track--it's superb.

used them at vancortland park three times this year; they are perfect for racing.
they'll be made in a spiked version next year.
what i wanna know is if the xc version of the forever would be good for track. like for the mile?
I guess you could try and find out for yourself.
The flat version is great on track. It's not really all that flat--rubber bumps that act like spikes. The spiked version will just add 4 spikes to this. Very minimal.
