Has anyone tried these shoes. I am just curious on what you thought of them if you have. However I do think the price tag is a bit toooo steep for me, but I just wanted to know if they are legit. Thanks

Looks like a pretty cool idea. I have no expertise in the area whatsoever, so I have no idea how sound the ideas are, but its definitely pretty interesting.
Sounds like the same science that says "dipping or leaning" at the tape is faster than running through the tape. As a distance shoe who knows I'd wait till we have some general public feedback before strapping them on.
Using gravity to move you forward? Sounds like the official "pose" footwear- sales hype over substance. Those spikes look like a disaster.
And how good can their product be when they can't even spell "velocity" right?
i've seen a pair of these. they appear to have a metal (maybe really hard shiny plastic?) plate running from the mid foot through the forefoot. very very inflexible. the shoe weighs about 46 pounds.

pretty sure this is what they were TRYING to make with that spike

I would also like to know about these shoes, has anyone tried them?
Ya, they're absolute shit. Far too heavy to be effective at improving running economy and using gravity to propel you forward is a ridiculous assertion. Gravity works in a vertical plane, not horizontal.
Pretty much the shoe just puts you way up on your toes, and with a huge heel it's no surprise. However, all sprinting spikes put you up on your toes...no one sprints while heel striking. The shoes are just F-ing heavy which seems to violate pretty basic physics.
They have zero empirical research to back up their claims...if more people used critical thinking skills, we wouldn't have to deal with this BS. These shoes are a horror show
Gleukos was another exhibit at a marathon expo that kept yelling out, "it works because you don't have to digest it like other sports drinks". Huh? Wha...? I kept waiting for them to start handing out hypodermic needles to go along with their watered down gatorade.
A little learning is a dangerous thing
their logic is foolish. using gravity decreases impact??? can you imagine the eccentric work on the quadriceps muscle group? can you imagine how hard your hip flexors will have to work just to keep your stride length? can you imagine not taking advantage of the stretch shortening cycle gastrocnemius and achilles tendon?
sounds like increased muscle damage, reduced economy, and the spikes are heavy as f***.

sounds like your a bitch!!! mwahahaha
I tested a pair a couple of weeks back. I only wore them for 3 miles, but I could feel my achilles starting to tighten up. I can only think what it would have felt like after a long run.

"you're"
I got a pair about a week ago, they felt awkward at first but after a few days they started to feel pretty good and more natural. I have been trying to run more forefoot before I got the shoes and I think they make it alot easier to do so. I ran in them today for about 50minutes and they felt great. I dont know if after I got more used to running forefoot if I'd continue running in them but they are atleast a great transition shoe. To all those people saying that it has a huge heel, I would have to say that its no bigger then normal shoes. Seriously if you are curious about the shoe or would like to run more forefoot then I defitely recomend getting them. If the price is too much just email them and they will email you a coupon for $50 off.
