Ian Thompson of GB has a faster marathon PR (2:09:12) and a slower 5K PR (14:05) than Rogers.
I'm not sure if Thompson "wins" this contest, but he has to be up there.
for the slowest 5k pr for a WR holder as of recent has got to be Khalid Khannouchi with 13:41 on the track
Dick Beardsley.
When Ian Thompson ran his best marathon CG 1974 his first 100 km split was close to a PR for a 10 km!
Whoa!!
gelindo bordin ran 2:08:17 and had a 5k pb of 14:06, dick Beardsley ran 2:08:50's and was in the 14:teens, not quite a 2:10 but Pete Pfitz... won the most competitive us oly trials ever and placed 11th and 13th in his two olympic marathons and had a 14:17 best.
What did Ikaanga run a 5k in?
Atsushi Fujita: PR of 2:06:51, 5km PR of 14:17. (But he regularly runs 28:30ish 10kms in Japan)

14:04 on the track, I think
2:09:28 Ron Hill (ENG) 25.09.38 1 Edinburgh 23 Jul 1970
28:38.98 Ron Hill (ENG) 25.09.38 3 London (WC) 1 Aug 1969
Been told he had only run 5km in approx 13:55!!
his web site says 14:17
Why do people always ask these sorts of questions? Is it to try to give themselves hope? Just keep running
nah, not hope, just for reference playa
What was jerry Lawson's 5 pr?
