It was interesting to read the article in Wired about the scientific approach to running. I admit that I am ignorant to how my "omega waves" effect my performance even if I had the ability to read them. The article stated that athletes must have proven 28:30 ability to be admitted. Dan Browne, Mike Donnelly, Chad Johnson, and Phillemon Hanneck and Dave Davies were all admitted. The article goes on to state that the single reason for starting the program was to "create a enclave dedicated to the MARATHON". This program has now (as of Sept.1st) been in existence for one year. As we enter the second year (in a program dedicates solely to the marathon) how many of these guys are planning a fall marathon. Dan Browne (twin cities) is the only one that I have heard about. When will these others make their debut? Is this program just another Nike promo of all show and no go? Do they have the wrong athletes? Do they have the wrong coach? Will Nike pull the plug? How many of these athletes will leave the program without ever having run a marathon (the sole reason that Tom Clarke and Alberto say the program was instituted)? I guess these questions can only be answered by the Omegawave Sports Technology System.
