I recently ran a half marathon about 4 and half minutes faster than I did the previous year. The conditions were pretty much the same. I haven't lost any speed; in fact, I think I'm a little faster at the short stuff than I was before. I haven't raced anything shorter than 10k for a while, and the 10K's were treated as workouts. How much can I expect to drop off my 5k time? 3k? 1500?
