You may think I am trolling. But I swear I am not. I dont make facetious claims and remarks to running...It is one thing I really take seriously.
Currently I run about 120 miles per week. I believe there was a post here not so long ago if I remember by a poster named "High Mileage."
He wanted to run mileage that would not be advised by some. I dont know whether this was a true forum post or not...but that is what my aim is.
Likewise. I said I run about 120 miles per week currently. I need guidance and support. I will start this trek after I take a full week off after the cross country season is over. I am an All American and have ran in the top 25 invdividual results at D2 NCAA Nationals.
Why do I want to run such mileage? I want to see where it takes me. I want to see if I can reach my wildest dreams. I have trained in Lydiard disciples for the past couple of years.
Some say "if its not broke, dont fix it..." But like a youth...When we grew up running we tried out things we didnt know would be beneficial and possible for us and our bodies. We saw improvement...injuries...and just drama all around.
I am at the end of my college career almost and the next horizon awaits. By god, I am not the best runner out there...But one can try. I am willing to.
My goals you ask? I want to qualify and perhaps run in the Olympics. Far Fetched I know, but 2012 is what I am aiming for. I will be moving on to the marathon after this season as I have had previous success at this distance.
Two years ago I ran a PB of 2:38...I love longer distances because I am much more stronger the higher I go. Plus there is an aura behind marathons that let me break down the race mentally and physically which I think other people lack.
Anyways. I will post more later. And hopefully this will inspire others to try this with me.
