Abdi runs 1:01:07 on the Philly half marathon course, finishes 2nd and comes with in 12 seconds of the course record and it barely gets any discussion. The PDR is one of world’s premier half marathons and has been dominated by the Africans for over a decade. What Abdi did is big time; it is at least on par with anything that happened over 800m this year.

Abdi is an african. He is an american citizen, but he is definitly african. I am german. I am an american citzen, but I am definitly german. Abdi's performance was another fine performance by an african at PDR. This continues the trend of africans running well at PDR.

Uhhh, no, where it concerns distance running, Abdi is an African. Africans are superior genetic specimens, built for distance running. Abdi is an American where it concerns everything else, and so are we all.
