Anyone get his quarter splits, and maybe his last two hundred?
That was the greatest kick I've ever seen, literally, even if he didn't win!
Thanks

Greatest kick? He ran about a 56 last 400. If you do the math, you figure he ran the first 200 @ 30 pace and then produced a 26 last 200, with most of the acceleration over the final 150.
A great kick is to run 26 the first 200 and then accelerate off of that...producing a 51 or 50 or sub 50.
What did Mulvaney even run, I'm not seeing him in the 1500m semi results.
Why would you see a foreign runner in the U.S. Nats
Ok, so I am a runner that hasn't seen a lot of track coverage for elites. I apologize for not being in the presence of elite kick as much as you. And yes, now that I think of it, it would be amazing to see Willis sustain Mulvaney's entire last 100 over a full lap--I wish I had seen it. Regardless, Mulvaney still had a wicked kick.
56 my ass. He ran 54. Notice that he wasn't near the leaders at the bell. The only way you would get 56 is if you started Mulvaney's last lap when the leaders hit the bell lap...
willis has never kicked off a fast pace.. his 800 is 1:48.9 big deal...mulvaney is better
