Just thought I would post this letter that Nike just sent me because I don't believe any customers should be treated this way, and this is an example of how Nike doesn't care about any of their customers. A little background info.....
I sent in two pairs of running shoes about 4 months ago (at the same time) because they were defective and I couldn't go through my retailer because I was in my college town which was a different city from where I bought the shoes. They were Nike Skylons which ripped out 100 miles in and 2004 pegasus with a popped air bubble less than 150 miles in. This is the only time I have ever used their voucher service....

Dear Customer,
Nike's return system exists as a back up to the retailer when the retailer is not willing or able to assist our consumers. This service is not intended for ongoing returns or exchanges.
Please be advised that Nike will no longer be processing claims associated with you to receive product vouchers as a replacement for Nike products. This includes returns associated with product purchased with product vouchers. Based on our experience processing similar claims, your claims do not appear to be legitimate. In addition, Nike reserves the right to suspend or cancel any issued product vouchers that are associated with a violation of our policies.
It is important to us to provide our consumers with good customer service. We feel that we have provided you this service, however, in the future we will no longer be able to assist you with your Nike products.
If you have any questions about this matter, please call us at 1-800-344-6453 and a Consumer Specialist will be available to assist you.
Sincerely,
Nike USA Consumer Services
I called the number to see why they would sent me a letter 4 months after I shipped only 2 pairs of shoes to them and haven't tried to ship more since. The guy on the phone was really rude and didn't even attempt to help me (some customer service there). He told me I was marked for excessive use on their voucher system and could never use Nike Customer Services again. Pretty sad way to treat a serious runner who has been wearing pretty much exclusively nike shoes since he started running. In the last year I have had to switch to other brands because my Nike shoes kept having problems (hence the reason I had to sent two pairs into them) so I got fed up and started trying out other brands.
