While her name doesn't get mentioned that much these days, the unquestioned winner, on a percentage basis, is PattiSue Plumer. The two capitals in the first name with no space and the one "m" in the last name that contradicts the pronunciation are formidable obstacles. If you google the variant spellings of her name (including the correct spelling) the greatest number of hits is generated by misspelling both her first and last names (space in the first, two "m's" in the last). I challenge you to identify any other American athlete about whom the same can be said.
T&FN mostly gets it right on their lists but there is this archived cover from Aug 1992.
