Actually, his PR is 2:30
When he came down to Miami for a book signing, it was one of the questions I asked him. A lot of you on this borad wish you could run that fast, including myself!!
I'll be honest and state that I don't like the guy. So my opinion here is biased. He may have said he ran 2:30, I've heard his PR is 3:10 and he thinks he could run 2:30 -- there's a big difference between running something and thinking you can run it. Did he tell you where he ran it? Can you find the results on marathonguide.com or any other website? I did a google search and I found the last post on this thread:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=1260653&page=0On the Letterman show (not quoting verbatim), Mr. Karnazes said something to the effect that he was a 2:30 marathoner.
I'd give a gonad if this were true. Don't know what a gonad is, but what the hell. The point is that he may not have been entirely truthful.
3:10 sounds like a true PR for him...at least
http://www.zinsli.comshows these results on the marathon for him.
