best US Male distance performance so far for 2006?

I don't know about you, but I once shot about 5 feet...

1. K. Robinson sub 1:43

2. Lincolns AR

3. Meb at Boston

4. Goucher at World Cross

I'm pretty sure Meb was third in Boston and Sell 4th. Don't know if that changes anyone's rankings but I figured I'd just set the record straight there. It was the Olympics where he was second. Common mistake.

5. Sell in Boston (4th)

6. Meb in Boston (3rd)

Robinson did not run a sub-1:43.

- the 1500 was a joke, 5k against a great field was steel

- Great run that shocked many, proved a big range

e. Meb's third place in Boston

- A poorly executed race that killed off many competitors

f. K. Robinson's sub1:43 & string of 1:44's

- High level 800 running that might be medal worthy

g. Lagat's Millrose win

- Completely destroyed Kenny B. from the gun, smart run

h. Lukesicz's 3:33 low

- Has moved into the top 3 1500/milers in the US

i. Sell's fourth place in Boston

- Like at Worlds, several faultered and he took advantage

j. Cabada's 25k American record

- A great run at a distance rarely contested by the best

previous poster had it right - KK's 4th place should definitely be on the list.

Fam in the 10k.

Those deserve some consideration as well. The 2 mile race was particularly impressive.

Lukesicz has more potential than any US runner.

I am a huge fan of his.

Plus he is really cute.
